Summary In English

This is the story about a girl named Curlylocks. One day she went into a forest near her house. There she saw a small cottage. She went into the cottage. It was a cottage of a Bear family. Nobody was there at that time. There she saw three bowls of porridge on the table. All the bowls are of different sizes. She tasted all but finished the tiny one.

When she went into the bedroom she saw the beds of three different sizes. She slept on the tiny one. Suddenly the Bear family returned to their cottage. They all found that their food and bed touched by somebody. They were surprised to saw a girl sleeping on the tiny bed. Curlylocks woke up shocked and ran away rapidly.

यह कहानी कर्लीलॉक्स नामक एक लड़की के बारे में है। एक दिन वह अपने घर के निकट एक जंगल में गई। वहाँ उसने एक छोटी-सी कुटिया देखी। वह कुटिया के अंदर गई। कुटिया एक भालू के परिवार की थी। उस समय वहाँ कोई नहीं था। उसने मेज पर तीन कटोरों में रखा दलिया देखा। सभी कटोरे अलग-अलग आकार । के थे। उसने सभी का स्वाद चखा किंतु उसने छोटे कटोरे में रखा दलिया ही खाकर खत्म किया।

जब वह शयनकक्ष में गई तो उसने विभिन्न आकार वाले तीन बिस्तर देखे। वह छोटे बिस्तर पर सो गई। अचानक भालू का परिवार अपनी कुटिया में आ गया। सभी ने पाया कि किसी ने उनके खाने तथा बिस्तर को स्पर्श किया है। जब उन्होंने देखा कि एक लड़की छोटे बिस्तर पर सो रही है तो वे आश्चर्यचकित रह गए। | कर्लीलॉक्स जागी तो भयभीत हो गई और तेजी से वहाँ से भाग खड़ी हुई।

Hindi Translation Of the story

1. Once there was a girl with curly hair.
Her name was Curlylocks. One day,
she went into the forest near her
house. She saw a cottage.

एक समय की बात है, घंघराले बालों वाली एक लड़की
थी। उसका नाम कर्लीलॉक्स था। एक दिन वह अपने
घर के समीप स्थित जंगल में गई। वहाँ उसने एक
कुटिया देखी।

Word-Meanings : Curly (कर्लि) -having curls not in a straight shape, सुँघराले। Forest (फ़ॉरेस्ट) -a large part of land covered with plants and trees, जंगल। Cottage (कॉटेज) -a small house, a hut कुटिया।

2. “Is anybody in?” she asked.
There was nobody. The Bear family
lived in the cottage. They had gone for a walk.

“क्या कोई अंदर है?” उसने पूछा। वहाँ कोई भी नहीं
या। इस कुटिया में शक भाल का परिवार रहता था।
वे टहलने के लिए बाहर गए हुए थे।

Word-Meanings : Nobody (नोबॉडि) -no one, कोई नहीं। Walk (वॉक) -moving slowly here and there, सैर।

3. Curlylocks went in. She wanted to
see who lived there.
She saw three bowls of porridge on
the table. There was a big bowl for
Papa Bear, a middle size bowl for
Mama Bear and a tiny little bowl for
Baby Bear.

कर्लीलॉक्स अंदर गई। वह यह जानना चाहती थी कि
वहाँ कौन रहता है।
वहाँ उसने मेज पर रख दलिया से भरे तीन कटोरे देखे।
सबसे बड़ा कटोरा पापा भालू के लिए था। मध्यम
आकार वाला कटोरा मम्मी भालू के लिए तथा छोटा
कटोरा नन्हे भालू के लिए था।

Word-Meanings : Bowls ( बोल्स) -a round deep plate, कटोरा। Porridge (पॉरिज) -a kind of food, दलिया। Middle (मिड्ल) -in-between the two things, मध्य में।

4. Curlylocks was hungry. She ate the
porridge from the big bowl. It was
very hot. She ate from the middle
size bowl. It was too cold. She ate
from the tiny little bowl. It was just right.

कर्लीलॉक्स भूखी थी। उसने बड़े कटोरे से दलिया
खाया। वह बहुत ही गरम था। उसने मध्यम आकार वाले
कटोरे से भी दलिया चखा। वह बहुत ठंडा था। उसने
छोटे कटोरे का दलिया खाया। यह बिल्कुल ठीक था।

Word-Meanings : Hungry (हंग्री) -feeling to eat the food, भूख। Right (राइट) -correct, सही।

5. Curlylocks ate up all the porridge.
Then she went to the bedroom. There
was a big bed for Papa Bear, a middle
size bed for Mama Bear and a tiny
little bed for Baby Bear.

कर्लीलॉक्स सारा दलिया खा गई। उसके बाद वह
शयनकक्ष में चली गई। वहाँ पापा भालू के लिए बड़ा
बिस्तर, मम्मी भालू के लिए मध्यम आकार का बिस्तर
तथा छोटे भालू के लिए छोटा बिस्तर था।

6. The big bed was very hard, The
middle size bed was too soft. But the
tiny little bed was just right.
Curlylocks fell asleep in the tiny
little bed. The Bear family came back.
“Somebody ate my porridge!” shouted
Papa Bear in his big, gruff voice.

बड़ा बिस्तर काफी कड़ा था। मध्यम आकारवाला बिस्तर
काफी मुलायम था। किंतु छोटे आकारवाला बिस्तर
बिल्कुल सही था।
कर्लीलॉक्स छोटे बिस्तर पर लेट गई। भालू का परिवार
वापस आ गया।
“किसी ने मेरा दलिया खाया है।” पापा भालू ने ऊँची
आवाज़ में कही।

7. “Somebody ate my porridge, too!”
said Mama Bear.
Somebody finished all my porridge,
said Baby Bear in his tiny little voice.

“किसी ने मेरा दलिया भी खाया है।” मम्मी भालू ने
कहा।
“कोई मेरा सारा दलिया खा गया।” नन्हे भालू ने अपनी
धीमी आवाज़ में कहा।

Word-Meanings : Somebody (समबॉडि) -some person, कोई व्यक्ति। Shouted (शाउटेड) -said in a loud sound, चिल्लाया। Finished (फ़िनिश्ड) -ended it, खत्म करना।

8. The Bear family went to the bedroom.
Somebody slept in my bed, shouted
Papa Bear in his big, gruff voice.
“Somebody slept in my bed, too,” said Mama Bear.
“Somebody is sleeping in my bed,”
said Baby Bear in his tiny little voice.

भालू का परिवार शयनकक्ष में गया।
“कोई मेरे बिस्तर पर सोया है,” पापा भालू ऊँची तथा
रूखी आवाज़ में चिल्लाया।
“मेरे भी बिस्तर पर कोई सोया है,” मम्मी भालू बोली।
“कोई मेरे बिस्तर पर सो रहा है,” नन्हें भालू ने अपनी
धीमी आवाज़ में कहा।

9. Curlylocks woke up. She saw the
three Bears. She jumped down and
ran out of the cottage as fast as she could.
