Summary In English

This story is all about a hen and her two chicks, Lalu and Peelu. Lalu was red in colour and he also love red things. Peelu was yellow in colour and he love yellow things. One day Lalu are a red chilli by mistake his mouth started burning. He began to cry loudly. Peelu brought a yellow laddu to help Lalu. Lalu ate the laddu and felt relieved.

यह कहानी एक मुर्गी तथा उसके दो चूजे-लालू और पीलू की है। लालू का रंग लाल था और वह लाल रंग की चीजें पसंद करता था। पीलू का रंग पीला था और वह पीले रंग की चीजें पसंद करता था। एक दिन खेलते हुए लालू ने गलती से लाल मिर्च खा ली। इससे लालू का मुँह जलने लगा। पीलू ने लालू की सहायता के लिए उसे पीला लड्डू दिया। लालू ने लड्डू खाया और उसे बहुत आराम मिला।

Hindi Translation Of the story

1. There was a hen. She had two chicks,
Lalu and Peelu. Lalu was red. He
loved red things. Peelu was yellow.
He loved yellow things.

एक मुर्गी थी। उसके दो चूजे थे- लालू और पीलू।
लालू लाल रंग का था। उसे लाल चीजें पसंद थीं।
पीलू का रंग पीला था। उसे पीली चीजें पसंद थीं।

Word-Meanings: Hen (हेन) – he female of cock, मुर्गे। Chick ( चिक)-a young baby of hen, चूजा।

2. One day Lalu saw something on a
plant. It was red. He ate it up. Oh,
no! It was a red chilli. It was very
hot. Lalu’s mouth started burning.
He screamed.

एक दिन लालू ने एक पौधे पर कोई चीज देखी। वह
लाल रंग की थी। उसने उसे खा लिया। वह एक लाल
मिर्च थी। वह बहुत गरम थी। लालू का मुँह जलने
लगा। वह चीखने लगा।

Word-Meanings: Plant (प्लांट )-the small vegetative organism, पौधा Ate (ऐट)eaten something, ख लिया। Chilli (चिलि) – a spice, मिर्च। Burning (बार्निंग) – bitterness caused by eating something, कुछ खाकर मुँह का जलना। Screamed (स्क्रीम्ड)—cried loudly, चीखा।

3. Mother Hen came running. Peelu
came, too. Peelu said, “I’ll get
something for you!” Peelu brought
a yellow laddu.

मादा मुर्गी भागती हुई आई। पीलू भी आया। पीलू ने
कहा-” मैं तुम्हारे लिए कुछ लाऊँगा।” पीलू एक पीला
लड्डू लेकर आया।

Word-Meanings: Running (रनिंग) – moving very rapidly, भागते हुए। Laddu (लड्डू) – a sweet dish, एक तरह का मिष्ठान।

4. Lalu gobbled up the laddu. His
mouth stopped burning. Mother Hen
and Lalu kissed Peelu.

लालू ने लड्डू निगल लिया। उसके मुँह की जलन कम
हो गई। मादा मुर्गी और लालू ने पीलू को चूम लिया।

Word-Meanings: Gobbled up (गॉवल्ड अप) – swallowed, निगल गया। Kissed(किस्ड) – touched with the lips in love, चूम लिया।
